YOGA CLASSES
Yoga means "union" in Sanskrit.  All classes include breathwork (pranayama), postures (asanas), and relaxation (savasana) to bring awareness to the union of body, mind, and spirit.  I believe that yoga is for everyone and I teach with the hope that it feels accessible to all of my students.  It's not about the perfect pose...it's about the journey.

Classes are taught in a cozy, intimate studio and are limited to 8 students.  This small class size allows me to watch everyone and offer hands-on assists when it is appropriate.

A demanding practice focused on cultivating strength and balancing it with grace.  This is geared towards individuals with some previous Yoga experience, but does not exclude beginners in good physical shape who are willing to jump right in.  This class will include the following:

1. Vinyasa (flow), focused on tying the breath to the movement
2. Standing postures to bring energy and awareness to the legs and feet which serve as our foundation
3. A light hearted exploration of arm balances and inversions
4. Asanas (postures) focused on strengthening the abs and the back
5. Savasana (relaxation) - after a demanding practice, this time to integrate and relax is even sweeter.
