I believe in a holistic approach to health and well-being, and I enjoy incorporating that into the work I do. I have long had a passion for massage and have enjoyed yoga since my mother introduced it to me at a young age.
I grew up in Southern Vermont in the house that my parents built and went to college at Skidmore, where I majored in psychology. I knew that I wanted to be in a more hands on profession, so I followed my heart and went back to school for massage therapy.
I attended New Hampshire Institute for Therapeutic Arts for my formal massage training. I have additional training in Thai Yoga Massage and pregnancy massage.
Massage is a wonderful way to take care of yourself, both physically and mentally. It is also important to do some work on your own to keep muscles healthy. I instinctively started recommending yoga postures to my massage clients to increase the benefits they were getting from massage. This led me to pursue training in how to teach yoga.
I traveled to the beautiful west coast of Costa Rica and completed my yoga teacher training at the Nosara Yoga Institute. Yoga is a life long practice and I will forever be a student. I enjoy both the physical benefits as well as the inward journey of cultivating self-awareness.
The work I do is rewarding and I feel blessed to have found something that I enjoy doing, while caring for others.
When I'm not working I enjoy gardening, hiking, snowboarding, sailing, and a good cup of tea. I live in Marblehead with my husband Mike and our two kittens Olive and Curry.
My intention is to live a gentle and peaceful life by keeping my heart open and having compassion for all beings.
Namaste.
